The primary function of the fire detection and alarm system is to provide the occupants of a building the maximum amount of time to escape the building during an outbreak of fire. It is essential to have a fully functional fire detection and alarm system which is tested, serviced, and maintained on a regular basis.

It is the responsibility of the employer that the fire detection and alarm system is checked in accordance with Health, Safety & Welfare At Work Act 2005. Section 11 of the 2005 Act states that employers are required to prepare and revise adequate emergency plans and procedures and provide the necessary measures for firefighting and the evacuation of the workplace. With this in mind, it is crucial that the employer, or a designated employee, to check the fire alarm weekly and has a service agreement with a competent person to service the system.

We will carry out four services per annum in accordance with Irish Standard 3218:2013+A1:2019. We will issue a report after each service which states the work carried out and any recommendations that the engineer has noted. All our engineers are fully qualified electricians.

If you don’t have a fire detection and alarm system installed, we can carry out a survey of your premises free of charge, with no obligation, and issue you with a quotation to design, install, commission and maintain a fire detection and alarm system in accordance with Irish Standard 3218:2013+A1:2019.

Supply & commission of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems is also available for electrical contractors.
